We played 'Lick it Up' and 'Killed by Death' for the first time to a smaller than usual audience as it was Valentine's Day, we had a great time anyway. A return visit to The Royal Standard in Ely on the 21st February, good to see the Landlord & co again. A really good night and a rocking set. We were asked to play Sweet Child of Mine for a second time and this went down very well to a good crowd. Back at The Standard in May.

2nd May - The White Horse Edwardstone - Beer Festival. It was great to play at this event. A sunny day with a large crowd enjoying the ale, the sunshine and the music. The afternoon kicked off with music from Swimming with Sharks then an acoustic set from The Three Beards then a rocking set from The Fallen. By the second set everyone was having a great time; camp fires burning and the ale still flowing. We presented a card to Geoff - 50 today!!!! Livin' on a Prayer, Rosie and Rock 'n' Roll went down a storm. It was hard to stop playing at 11pm! Private Party next week but hope to see you at The Haymakers in Cambridge on the 23rd May.

What a great night at The Working Mens Club in Long Melford on Saturday 13th June. Great crowd and we played a great set. Geoff had a problem with his amp, soon 'sorted'. We played through the second set finishing to an amazing appreciation of 'Rosie' 'Rock 'n' Roll' and 'Livin on a Prayer' - Back at The Club at the end of August.

June 27th and we are playing at the Kings Head in Great Cornard. This turned out to be an interesting gig as we were all a bit hung over from Andy’s stag night the evening before and this gig was actually a stag night – A good pub full of people, and the stag boys having a great time – The groom came up to sing a couple of songs!

Back at The Angel in Glemsford on Saturday 11th July. Ben is away tonight so we have Joe standing in on bass, Joe is a mate of the band and will be standing in again later in the year when Ben goes away on tour with The Illegal Eagles. A packed pub, with the Iron Maiden songs going down very well. We did an involuntary extended version of Rock ‘n’ Roll to end the set, everyone was having such a great time they did not seem to notice.

The Fallen are now taking a few weeks off, see you at The Working Mens Club in Melford at the end of August.

29th August – Working Men’s Club, Long Melford. Great to be back at the club, plenty of room for the band and a great crowd. We used our new bass subs, and our new robocolor lights and Ben used his new bass. Changes to the set running order and new songs include Dirty Love by Thunder and Tie Your Mother Down by Queen. A great gig tonight, storming set, great crowd.

Back at the Five Bells in Great Cornard on 4th September, great gig tonight with loads of local rock fans. Second set fantastic, linked the songs close together and everyone really got into Burn, Fool For Your Loving and Ballroom Blitz. Thanks to Wendy for having us back at The Five Bells.

12th September – The Swan Lawshall. Is it possible to get a 5 piece rock band, a back drop and two sets of lights into a very small pub – yes. Great to be back at The Swan, last time was July 2007. A good rocking gig, great to see James and co, hope to be back at The Swan soon.

North Street Tavern, 19th September – what a great gig tonight, a packed pub with everyone really getting into The Fallen. Lots of rockers coming down to the front, as we played a great and LOUD set. Really enjoy playing here, excellent gig tonight.

A trip over to Ely on Saturday 10th October. Ely Royal Standard, lots of space and a good chance to use the bass subs. We mixed up the set a bit, and by set two we had a good and lively crowd dancing and enjoying the music. We were all starving so went for a kebab, got home after 3am.

24th October and a welcome return to The Elmswell Fox. Ben is now away for a few gigs, so we have Joe back on bass. We played well and went down very well, lots of people having a great time and enjoying the music. Hope to come out to Elmswell again next year, here and other venues in the area.

Saturday 21st November - The Fallen play at The Angel in Glemsford. Bloody good gig. Jo is back with us on bass and the pub is packed. We did a great set, unfortunately someone managed to spill red wine all over the mixing desk so this spoilt the end of a great night. Still, great to play at The Angel again, back here again in May next year.

We rocked The 5 Bells in Great Cornard on Friday 4th December. Good to see lots of mates again as we played a good and loud set to a great crowd. Really enjoyed tonight, having a good laugh and playing well.

5th December - New venue for us tonight at The Pinkuah Arms in Pentlow. We have wanted to play here for a while and tonight was a really good gig. Geoff had problems with his amp in set one so we stopped playing after a few songs and after a gear changed we ripped through 25 songs back to back. Ben turned up to watch us tonight - he was well impressed and said he would come to see us again! This is Jo's last gig with us this year. Thanks for standing in mate and see you soon.

Our last gig of the year at The North Street Tavern in Sudbury on the 19th December. A snowy night but a nice warm and very full pub to end 2009. Tonight was excellent the best gig for ages with everyone having a great time, us and the crowd. Great to have Ben back tonight. We ended the evening with 'Merry Christmas' by Slade and then a storming encore of Rock'n' Roll by Led Zeppelin.

Thanks to everyone for coming to our gigs this year and to all of the pubs who booked us. We look forward to next year, 20 dates already in the diary and a list of new songs to learn - Happy New Year from The Fallen
